Stacy Wheeler
Stacy began practicing yoga in 2008 to help decompress from the stresses of everyday life. While she found it hard at first to quiet the mind, with weekly practice she came to treasure the stillness that yoga brought to her life and soon began to feel the positive effects in her daily life. Over the years, being on the mat brought back the familiarity of the mind body connection Stacy was familiar with as a dancer. Many of the teachers she has had over the years really allowed her to rediscover the mind, body and spirit connection.
Stacy completed her 200 hour yoga certification through Mara Campbellās Emerald Heart School of Yoga and she is a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance. Stacy teaches both restorative and vinyasa flow classes. Her restorative classes focus on passively opening up the fascia and muscles in the body to bring the body into a deeper sense of relaxation and slow down in the busy world in which we live. Her vinyasa flow classes are carefully planned to incorporate and blend the fluidity of dance and breath to allow the student to use the asana to understand and connect with the body. She continues to develop her yoga practice with weekly classes and through attending workshops. Her intention is to create classes that bring a sense of balance into the lives of her students.
