Gentle Chair Yoga
GENTLE CHAIR YOGA classes adapt traditional yoga techniques – poses, breathing and meditation – while using a chair (sitting and standing) for support making it safe, easy and enjoyable for people who face physical limitations. Whether you are just beginning or starting back to exercise, weak due to illness or injury, retired and actively aging you will leave class with newfound health and vitality. All ages and abilities are welcome. (Very Basic)
Classes are held Monday and Wednesday
11:15 am – 12:15 pm
Cost: $10.00 per class
Monday: Head -to-Toe Flow
Class will focus on a different area of the body including: neck and shoulders, heart openers, core, side-body, hips, lower back and lower extremities. The focus will be to gently stretch and strengthen and heal targeted areas. Each student will be guided to connect movement with their entire body, breath and mind for a well rounded and relaxing practice.
Wednesday: It’s All Connected
Each area of the body is part of a larger body system. Wednesday’s practice will focus on healing and strengthening the systems of the body through gentle chair yoga stretches and poses. Wednesday’s practice will also focus on areas of the body that were addressed in Monday’s class.
