Eileen Estrem has been teaching Hatha Yoga with a Vinyasa Flow flair since 2009, completing her 200-plus hour yoga training program (RYT) under the creative teachings of Silvia Mordini. In the fall of 2013 she earned recognition through Yoga Alliance as an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT200) after completing over 1000 hours of teaching. In the fall of 2016, she was approved by Yoga Alliance to provide Continuing Education training to Yoga teachers (YACEP).
Eileen has taken extensive Continuing Ed training through various workshops and self-study with the focus on bringing a healthful and healing aspect to yoga. She does this not only through the modification of poses, but also through the guidance of calming One’s own mind and teaching breathe response. Her goal is to inspire individuals to improve their general health and overall wellbeing, guide them in rehabilitating from certain health conditions and find a personal yoga practice that fits their own body, thus avoiding injury.
Every class begins with mediation leading each person from a place of activity to a place of calm. While teaching classes, Eileen places great emphasis on body alignment, joint and muscle protection and safety in poses, allowing students to discover easement and wellness in their body. Eileen teaches through the theory based on the Lines of Energy to bring equanimity and balance from the inside out. This format leads the student able to re-frame and re-train the mind, body and breath leaving them to gain a greater connection to their True Self. She incorporates music of all genres along with laughter and humor.
Yoga training content includes some, but not all, of the following : Meditation, Osteoarthritis, Osteoporosis, Actively Aging Gentle and Chair, Fibromyalgia, Bio- Mechanic Adjustments, Yoga Nidra.
Eileen is currently on the Primordial Sound Meditation Teachers Path studying with Deepak Chopra and his staff through the Chopra Center for Health and Well-Being.
